Our Values

Why we need this project ?

In war-afflicted countries such as Afghanistan, children are typically the most affected and vulnerable group. Childhood is when innocence, creativity, and thirst for life peak, making children particularly susceptible to the harsh realities and horrors war brings. War poses a significant threat to children’s peace and psychosocial health, their family and friends, and their playgrounds, schools, and homes. However, an often-neglected aspect regarding the impact of war on children is the effect on children’s early imagination, natural creativity, and dreams. Being deprived of a safe environment to experience the enjoyment of reading stories or express imagination, creativity, and learning in childhood significantly impacts a child’s development stages. These human experiences and attributes have an imperative role in shaping our adulthood. Therefore, efforts to maintain and flourish children’s childhood imagination educational, and creative skills are vital to a healthy future community, especially in areas where learning resources are limited due to ongoing war. This project will be a unique and new platform to keep the children’s imaginative and creative skills alive in war-affected localities through the children’s magazine. Via the magazine, the children can learn, play, express their artistic tendencies, and gain educational access to information and places they would not have had prior. Art, creativity, and expression are essential to humans’ coping mechanisms in hardship and repression. In this way, this project aims to address children’s mental health and psychosocial needs and direct children’s beliefs toward a peaceful and joyful world, guided by equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Where we Work ?

The project addresses the profound impact of war on children in places like Afghanistan, where their childhood is disrupted by conflict. It emphasizes the importance of preserving children’s imagination, especially in areas with limited learning resources due to ongoing war. Through a unique magazine platform, the project aims to provide children with opportunities to learn, play, and explore beyond their surroundings. Additionally, the initiative seeks to safeguard children’s mental health by promoting beliefs in a peaceful world, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
