ANGIZA is a UK-registered organization dedicated to empowering and educating children in war-affected countries through creative and educational initiatives. Our flagship project is a children’s magazine designed to foster creativity and learning. This magazine combines stories, art, educational content, and engaging activities to inspire and develop children’s imagination, reading, and writing skills.
The project will initially focus on Afghanistan, where children face immense challenges due to the lack of access to books, learning resources, and schools. This situation is particularly critical for girls, who have been denied formal education since the Taliban took control in 2021.
The magazine targets children aged 7 to 12, providing them with tools to unlock their creative potential and imagination, offering hope and opportunity amidst adversity.
Through this initiative, ANGIZA strives to bring education and joy to vulnerable children, helping them overcome barriers and build a brighter future.

About
Arifa’s life is a testament to the power of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Born and raised in war-torn Afghanistan, she experienced firsthand the challenges of growing up in a society marked by conflict, war and intervention. However, Arifa refused to let her circumstances define her destiny. Instead, she courageously challenged societal norms and pursued education and empowerment with unwavering resolve. Despite the closure of girls’ schools and the barriers placed in her path, Arifa remained steadfast in her quest for knowledge.

Where We Work?
The project addresses the profound impact of war on children in places like Afghanistan, where their childhood is disrupted by conflict. It emphasizes the importance of preserving children’s imagination, especially in areas with limited learning resources due to ongoing war. Through a unique magazine platform, the project aims to provide children with opportunities to learn, play, and explore beyond their surroundings. Additionally, the initiative seeks to safeguard children’s mental health by promoting beliefs in a peaceful world, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
